Down jackets are a must for the colder months, but sometimes you just want to show off your Stone Island sweater and still keep warm, time to reach for the gilet! In a crowded marketplace you will be hard pushed to find a gilet which is as aesthetically pleasing as this stunning D.D Shell piece from CP Company, and trust me, it will keep you as warm as freshly toasted Pop Tarts. The gilet has been filled with the finest down which has been injected using CP’s “Direct Down Technique”
The Direct Down technique means that the down tunnels are sewn together before being filled using injector funnels. This reduces the loss of feathers and makes the finished garment feel much softer. The rip stop nylon outer shell provides unbeatable water resistance, although your arms will probably still get wet! The gilet comes with two side pockets and a patch pocket to the chest, more than enough to keep your bits n bobs in. The piece has been finished off with the iconic goggles to the hood… perfezione!
I own a D.D Shell jacket from AW ‘017 which I wouldn’t swap for anything, for me it’s the perfect combination of functionality and aesthetics. I really cannot speak highly enough of the D.D Shell garments, but don’t just take my word for it, head over to the CP Company website (which you can do here) and see for yourself.
