Founded by ex-professional British skier Jim Adlington Planks is a brand that is made for skiers, by skiers, and they make some seriously sophisticated outwear, like this Cloud 9 Insulator Jacket.

Constructed using a lightweight nylon ripstop fabric the Cloud 9 jacket is a versatile layering piece that’s great for using throughout the colder months, either as an outer layer or a mid-layer, and lets face it, it’s still freezing outside!

The jacket has been filled using Plank’s down-like recycled REPREVE® insulation which will keep you as snug as a bug in a rug, it also looks amazing which is all important when in investing a jacket, well that goes without saying doesn’t it?

The jacket also features two handwarmer pockets complete with YKK zips, it also comes with elasticated cuffs, and it can be folded into a bag when the temperature rises.  The Cloud 9 is available in a range of colours, my favourite being this stunning yellow iteration – which looks equally at home on the streets of Palmers Green as it does on the slopes of Pamporovo!

I didn’t want to end this article with one of my cheesy ‘on the piste’ jokes, so I’ll simply say that Planks make fantastic clothing, so why not visit their website and take a look, as always you can do that here.
