Our regular readers may have noticed that we have recently published a few articles relating to Sicily, well the reason for this is simple, I have recently been to Sicily, and it was amazing, hence all the articles relating to Sicily! As well as all of the picturesque towns, villages and historic sites, Sicily is also a great place to shop for high end fashion. During the last two weeks of September myself and my good lady stayed in the beautiful town of Taormina, and its main strip, the Corso Umberto is a clothes shopper’s paradise filled with beautiful stores stocking the latest wares from the world’s top designers. One such store is Parisi, and as soon as I saw their window display I just couldn’t resist nipping in to take a closer look.
Parisi has several stores located on the Corso Umberto – Parisi Uomo, Parisi Donna, Parisi Junior and Paris Accessori, all of which stock every high end designer brand that you can possibly think of. I was initially drawn to the store by their window display which included pieces from Stone Island, Burberry and Valentino, and once I stepped inside I was really impressed with what I found. Parisi Uomo (men) is a great looking store with a cool, contemporary layout, but most importantly it stocks designer wear to die for!
As a Stone Island devotee I was really keen to have a look at the latest seasonal collection in store, initially I just wanted to see if they had any pieces that differed from the latest seasonal range on offer in the UK, however within seconds I found myself with a sweater in my hands, and I just had to try it on! The sweater in question was the new Fast Dye – Airbrushed piece in the stunning lime green colourway. After trying it on I handed it back to the store assistant (Alice if memory serves me correctly) and left the store in an attempt to try and resist selfishly spending a large chunk of our holiday money within the first two days of arriving in Taormina.
So much for willpower and not being selfish, come 8pm local time I was back in Parisi paying for the sweater, again Alice was very helpful and also afforded me a handsome discount, needless to say I left the shop feeling extremely happy. Parisi is a superb store and if you are ever lucky enough to find yourself in Taormina then make sure you pay them a visit, take my word for it, you won’t be disappointed, the staff are also very friendly and helpful too which makes for a really nice shopping experience.
